Palatial News - A Theater/ Journalism Program 

High school and middle school students will receive complimentary tickets to an Education Series presentation where they will act as ‘press.’ Students will sit in a press box, receive media badges and when possible, interview performers, crew and audience members. All stories will be posted on the Palace Theater website and will be collected and printed in the Palace Theater Journal at the end of the school year. The students' work will be submitted to a local newspaper for possible publication. Students must submit a request proposal and a teacher recommendation to be considered.

Learning in the Wings

This program is a hands-on educational opportunity in  which students 15years and older will learn the dference between Road, House and Shop technicians. A job shadow experience or internship can be scheduled with some of the most experienced backstage technicians in the departments of sound engineering, lighting, carpentry, technical direction, costumes and props. To participate, students should call the Education Department to schedule an interview. This program has received rave reviews and positions are limited.
